2025 vs 2026 Tie-Down World Standings: Year-Over-Year Check-In

Riley Webb again tops the ProRodeo tie-down roping world standings at the late-August checkpoint, but the Denton, Texas, roper’s $291,260.63—a commanding $83,020.15 clear of second—headlines a top 20 that otherwise looks almost nothing like the one from a year ago.

A year ago, Webb led at $250,356 with Shad Mayfield right on his hip at $235,791, a gap of just $14,565. This year there’s no such company. Webb’s $291,260.63 sits $83,020.15 ahead of new No. 2 Haven Meged—by far the widest margin anywhere in the top 20 and the clearest sign that the regular season earnings record will be broken… again.

Meged up 16, Mayfield down 17

Meged climbed from 18th at this point last season ($96,607) all the way to second this year ($208,240.48), more than doubling his earnings from last year when he battled back from a back injury. Mayfield went the other way, sliding from second to 19th ($100,791.81) and outside the top 15 with a month left to climb back in, after only rodeoing since Reno.

Two more movers reshaped the top five, and the money says the same thing, just louder: Joel Harris jumped from 11th to third by adding $69,421.18 to last year’s pace ($115,414 to $184,835.18), and Shane Hanchey climbed from 12th to fifth on a $59,196.61 raise ($109,130 to $168,326.61). Kincade Henry padded his earnings by $48,202.88 ($135,474 to $183,676.88) moving 6th to 4th, and Ty Harris tacked on $33,873.79 ($122,334 to $156,207.79) sliding up to sixth. The slippage was gentler in dollar terms: John Douch is $3,146.98 behind last year’s mark ($142,304 to $139,157.02), and Brushton Minton dipped $3,904.77 ($132,883 to $128,978.23). Dylan Hancock took the hardest fall of the returners, down $21,366 and nine spots, from $127,188 and 8th to $105,822 and 17th.

New faces, and a higher bar

Seven calf ropers cracked the top 20 who weren’t there last August: Bryce Derrer (10th, $126,791.24), Trevor Hale (12th, $120,307.18), Kyan Wilhite (13th, $119,228.61), Tyler Calhoun (15th, $109,096.05), Beau Cooper (16th, $105,958.71), Macon Murphy (18th, $101,700.74) and Hunter Herrin (20th, $99,204.03). As expected, it takes more to be in the top 20 this year, too—20th this year has $99,204.03, up $15,968.03 from $83,236 a year ago, and the 15th-place cut line climbed $8,193.05, from $100,903 to $109,096.05.
