Defending champion Taylor Santos will back into the box at the Lazy E Arena chasing back-to-back titles at the 2027 Cinch Timed Event Championship, March 4–6 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, headlining a field of 22 all-around hands announced so far.

Taylor Santos is the man to beat after his comeback run to the 2026 title, the second Ironman championship of a career that started with his first at the 2020 CTEC. The Creston, California, cowboy makes his seventh trip to the Lazy E in 2027.
Ketch Kelton returns for his third CTEC after winning the whole thing in 2025, taking the crown as a 19-year-old rookie with three round wins along the way.
Tie-down fans get plenty to watch with Dylan Hancock back for his fourth Ironman, Blane Cox making his third appearance, and Seth Hall competing at his eighth CTEC.
The record book runs deep in this field. K.C. Jones returns as the event’s most-tenured cowboy and a five-time champion (1993, 1996, 1999, 2001, 2012), while Kyle Lockett, a two-time champ (2005, 2011), is set for a quarter-century of Ironman starts. Paul David Tierney, a three-time CTEC champion, makes his 16th trip, and Erich Rogers (2022) and Cody Doescher (2023) each bring a CTEC title to the table.
Among the newer names, Coleman Proctor is back for a second year after making his debut at 40 in 2026, and Pennsylvania’s Zane Kilgus returns after winning Round 3 as a rookie last year. Will Lummus, Quade Hiatt, Dalton Walker, Tyler Worley and JC Flake round out the second-year Ironmen, with Russell Cardoza, Nelson Wyatt, Riley Wakefield, Clayton Hass and Brushton Minton all back for more.
