2026 Double Down Futurities: Everything to Know About Haven Meged’s $120,000 Event at the Lazy E

The 2026 Double Down Futurities, hosted by world champion tie-down roper Haven Meged and presented by Triangle Horse Sales, rolls into the Equinety Center at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, October 16-17 with $120,000 in total added money split between a 6 & Under calf roping and a 6 & Under breakaway, a $10,000-added 4 & Under incentive in each event and an additional $15,000 Ropers Classic sidepot on top.

Double Down Futurities Schedule

The Double Down Futurities runs two days, one event per day:

• Friday, October 16 at 9 A.M. — Calf Roping: 6 & Under, $50,000 added, plus the 4 & Under incentive
• Saturday, October 17 at 9 A.M. — Breakaway: 6 & Under, $50,000 added, plus the 4 & Under incentive

Double Down Futurities Calf Roping Format

The 6 & Under calf roping has $50,000 in added money and is time-only. Entry fee is $2,500, and a roper can enter up to four times.

The 4 & Under incentive, sponsored by Stephenville Trailers, adds another $10,000 with a $500 entry fee.

Format: 2 head, progressive, plus a short go. A roper must catch his first two calves to get a third.

Double Down Futurities Breakaway Format

Saturday’s 6 & Under breakaway mirrors the calf roping: $50,000 added, time-only, $2,500 entry fee and up to four entries per roper.

The breakaway’s 4 & Under incentive is sponsored by Outlaw Conversions, with $10,000 added and a $500 entry fee. Same format: 2 head, progressive, plus a short go, and a roper must catch her first two to get a third.

Ropers Classic Sidepot Adds $15,000

The Ropers Classic sidepot puts an additional $15,000 on the line across both 6 & Under classes:

• $7,500 added to the 6 & Under calf roping
• $7,500 added to the 6 & Under breakaway

With the sidepot, the weekend carries $135,000 in combined added and sidepot money.
