What a Check Paid in 2025
Mandan added $45,000 to the breakaway last year and paid $48,553 across eight holes. Cadee Williams won it on a 2.0. Eight of the nine cowgirls who cashed are entered again this week.
The Projected 2026 Payout
Mandan pays 12 holes this year, four deeper than last. Run the 12-hole split and the same 36-roper entry count against this year’s $60,000, and the ladder projects like this.
What It Takes to Make the Top 15
Shelby Boisjoli-Meged is sitting No. 15 at $86,824 in our projection through Puyallup. Everyone chasing her is entered in Mandan, and so is she. Measured against that $86,824, this is the lowest hole each of them can place in and still be inside the cut.
Twelfth place projects to pay $1,271, which still does not move anybody into the top 15—Tanner is the closest and she is $1,587 short. Four extra holes change who is live: Tanner gets in on an 11th-place check, Gilbert on a ninth, Angelone on a seventh, Jacobs on a sixth. Good and Crawford need second. Hollabaugh needs $14,729 and the win projects at $12,711.
All of that holds only if $86,824 is still the number Sunday night, and it will not be. Boisjoli-Meged ropes in the third performance, and a sixth-place check of her own puts her at $93,179—more than a seventh-place check closes from any of the four chasing her. Beau Peterson sits $738 above her at No. 14 and Jenna Dallyn $3,104 above her at No. 13, and both of them rope Saturday.
It took $100,027 to make the NFBR last year and $77,757 the year before. Boisjoli-Meged is holding the line at $86,824 with Mandan, Pendleton and two weeks of regular season still to pay. Our working number for this year’s cut is about $95,000.
Mandan rearranged the bubble the same way last year, when a muddy arena moved the top 15 in the last full week of the regular season.
At the Top of the Standings
Cheyanne McCartney leads at $180,561, $11,738 up on Hali Williams. A Mandan win for Williams with McCartney out of the money puts Williams in front by $2,879. McCartney is also $10,614 under the $191,175 regular-season record Taylor Munsell set in 2025—second place in Mandan clears it.
Danielle Lowman and Cadee Williams are $24 apart at No. 7 and No. 8, $116,857 to $116,833, and they rope back-to-back Sunday afternoon. Rylee George holds third $4,219 up on Josie Conner and Jordi Edens-Mitchell holds fifth $4,381 up on Munsell, and a fourth-place check covers either gap.
The Sioux Falls Cutoff
Points, not money, decide the Governor’s Cup. The Cinch Playoff Series standings lock Monday, Sept. 21—the Monday after Mandan and Pendleton finish—and the top eight go to Sioux Falls alongside the four who advanced out of Puyallup. Mandan is a Playoff Series rodeo, which makes it the last points on the board for most of this field.
McCartney holds eighth at 845.60 points. Bradi Good is 46.84 back and Jordan Hollabaugh 53.33. Josie Conner already has a Sioux Falls seat—she and Jackie Crawford split the Puyallup win—and she is also first in points, so the line runs at least one name deeper than eighth.
The points post Monday, Sept. 21. The regular season closes Sept. 30.
