Josie Conner won the Governor’s Cup finals Sunday at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with a 1.9 for $34,000. The check moved her past Rylee George to No. 3 in BRJ’s unofficial world standings with $190,597, three days before the regular season ends.
Bradi Good and Martha Angelone were both 2.4 and split second and third for $21,500 each, and both roped their way into the top 15. Good jumped from No. 17 to No. 10 with $111,857, and Angelone went from No. 18 to No. 13 with $107,602. Jackie Crawford went without a time, placed fourth for $9,000 and sits No. 19 with $87,622.
Angelone also won the semifinal earlier Sunday in 2.0, ahead of Crawford (2.2), Conner (2.3) and Good, who broke the barrier and still advanced with a 12.3. Hali Williams, Jordi Edens-Mitchell, Danielle Lowman and Jill Tanner all went without a time in the semifinal and took home $4,500 each.
