California Run Kicks Off: A Look Back at 2025’s Top Earners

As the 2026 California Run kicks off, Suzanne Williams’ $14,413 stands as the benchmark among last year’s top earners across the California Run.

The California Run traditionally refers to a stretch of ProRodeo stops between the winter rodeos and the summer run, which begins with the Reno Rodeo in late June.

Here’s a look at the top five money earners from 2025 and where they capitalized.

1.) Suzanne Williams — $14,413

Williams dominated the California Run with a $4,422 lead when it was all said and done, winning at Oakdale and Santa Maria and tying for the win in Redding. The National Finals Breakaway Roping qualifier also placed in three rounds at Clovis and added money in Salinas and Santa Ynez.

2.) Rylee George — $9,991

California native and 2025 NFBR average champion Rylee George made the most of her home-state run, highlighted by a win in the Salinas and $8,742 across the three rounds and average. She added checks in Oakdale and Red Bluff, building momentum heading into the summer run.

3.) Macy Fuller Young — $9,628

NFBR cowgirl Macy Young, an Arizona native, stayed consistent across the run, earning in multiple rounds at Clovis and finishing third overall, while also placing third in Redding for $3,324 and collecting checks at Santa Ynez and Santa Maria.

4.) Sutton Mang — $9,331

Another California cowgirl, Sutton Mang capitalized with a share of the win in Redding for $4,602 and additional earnings at Red Bluff, Santa Ynez and Santa Maria to secure her spot among the top five.

5.) Kinlie Brennise — $8,846

Colorado’s Kinlie Brennise, another NFBR qualifier, rounded out the top five, earning across Oakdale, Red Bluff, Clovis and Redding to make her mark on the California Run. The most notable being $3,055 at Red Bluff

The 2026 California Run is already underway, with Oakdale complete and the race for this year’s top earner officially in motion.
