USTRC

The Cinch USTRC National Finals of Team Roping (NFTR) is the organization's marquee event and, by team count, the largest roping in the world. The 37th annual running was held April 19–26, 2026, at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, drawing more than five thousand teams from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South America across eight days and three simultaneous arenas, and paying out $3,465,615 across 22 divisions. To compete, ropers need an active USTRC or WSTR membership and must have attended at least one USTRC event or WSTR qualifier within the past year. Divisions run from the Open down through the #7.5, with age-protected categories like the Legends Over 40 built in alongside standard shootouts, reflecting USTRC's stated mission — in the words of president John Johnson — of giving "every age and every skill level a place to rope, compete, and chase meaningful payouts." The event streams live and on-demand on Roping.com, free to Key Card Max members, and runs alongside companion events like the Total Feeds National Breakaway Championships. The Finals have called Fort Worth home in recent years after outgrowing dates at the Lazy E Arena, where the NFTR originated in 1990, though the event is set to return there beginning in 2027.
