The Pink Buckle Barrel Race is a stallion incentive program for barrel racing, held annually at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and billed by its organizers as the world's richest barrel race. The event is open to horses sired by enrolled Pink Buckle stallions, with owners paying an annual nomination fee to keep their horse's offspring eligible; those payments feed a purse that's grown steadily since the program's launch — from just over $1 million in 2018 to more than $4 million by 2022, and a guaranteed minimum payout of $4.3 million for 2026. The event runs as an equal-payout format spanning a 5D open division, futurity, derby, and youth classes, welcoming all levels of riders and horses rather than restricting entry to top professionals, with the stated goal of dramatically increasing both the number and quality of barrel racing performance horses through the promotion of Pink Buckle bloodlines.

Pink Buckle
Pink Buckle is a stallion-nomination barrel racing incentive: horses sired by an enrolled Pink Buckle stallion are nominated to compete at a large-purse event at Lazy E Arena. The 2026 event guarantees a $4.3M payout across an Open 4D division and a Futurity/Derby for young nominated horses.

General
Pink Buckle also spawned a companion program, the Ruby Buckle, launched in 2019 as a regional stallion incentive series modeled on the same rules and structure but priced more accessibly — Ruby Buckle stallions pay a $7,000 annual enrollment compared to Pink Buckle's $25,000, with all 50 Pink Buckle stallions automatically included among Ruby Buckle's roster of up to 150 sires. Ruby Buckle runs three regional events each year (East, Central, and Western) rather than one central race, making the incentive more geographically accessible, and together the two programs have paid out over $7 million combined in a single year. More recently, Pink Buckle and Ruby Buckle introduced a "9 & Older Missed Nomination" option in 2026, letting owners of aged horses sired by any past or present enrolled stallion buy into the program for a one-time fee, opening the incentive to horses that missed nomination windows earlier in life.
