Places and times per ProRodeo.com’s unofficial results. The dollars are ours. Mandan’s ground rules set the barrel race at 12 places and ProRodeo posted the payout across 15, so we have rebuilt it on the 12-money ladder in WPRA rule 11.1.2.5, which pays 20/17/14/12/10/7/5/4/3.5/3/2.5/2 percent, against the $63,901 purse ProRodeo posted. Hailey Kinsel, Emma Parr and Blake Molle ran 13th through 15th and are outside the money on a 12-place payout. Mandan paid 12 places in 2025 as well. If the WPRA confirms ProRodeo’s version we will put it back and say so.

How the Field Was Set
The top 32 from the 2026 WPRA Pro Rodeo World Standings, taken seven days before entries opened, are in. The last four spots went to the champions of four qualifying rodeos: Mandan (July 2-4), Deadwood, South Dakota (July 19-25), Aberdeen, South Dakota (Aug. 10-11) and Rapid City, South Dakota (Aug. 23-25).
If one of those champions was already qualified off the world standings, the spot passed to the next rider on that rodeo’s sheet, not past fifth place, then reverted to the world standings. The 30-hour replacement and walk-up replacement policies are both in effect.
What’s on the Line
Money first. Makenzie Mayes went to Mandan holding the 15th spot in the world and Austyn Tobey chasing it. Neither one placed. Summer Kosel did, tying for second for $9,905, and she passed Tobey for 16th on our projected board. LaTricia Duke now holds 15th at $116,618, with Kosel $9,797 back.
A win at Mandan paid $12,780 this year, against $12,938 in 2025. Tayla Moeykens took it at 17.00 seconds.
Kosel was not the only one who moved. Loralee Ward tied for seventh for $3,035, Andrea Busby was 12th for $1,598 and Heidi Gunderson did not place. Where each of them sits is broken down in our NFR bubble report.
Points second. The Cinch Playoffs Governor’s Cup in Sioux Falls, Sept. 25-27, takes the top four out of Puyallup plus the top eight in the 2026 Playoff Series standings as of Sept. 21. Mandan ended Sept. 20 and was the last rodeo on the schedule that could move that board.
The world title race ran here too. Carlee Otero, Hayle Gibson-Stillwell and Emily Beisel were all entered. Gibson-Stillwell was fifth for $5,112 and Beisel tied for seventh for $3,035. Otero did not place.
What a Check Paid in 2025
The added money is the same $60,000 it was in 2025 and the format is the same one go, paying 12 places both years. Here is what it paid last year, per ProRodeo.com’s unofficial results.
