Meet the Round 1 Open Champions at Pink Buckle 2023

On October 5, Stacy Glause’s smart decision to rollover to the $1.35 million Hay Chix Open 4D from the $400,000 Classic Equine derby at the Pink Buckle Race paid off to the tune of $13,290 in Glause’s pocket, and three other barrel racers earned championship bragging rights in the 2D-4D.

Glause’s 16.767 in the first round of the derby held through over 650 runs as the Round 1 fast time through the first round of the Futurity, Youth and Open 4D races from Wednesday, October 4 to Saturday, October 7 to secure $11,813 for Glause as the owner of the 2017 gelding, $1,477 to sire, The Goodbye Lane and another $1,477 to Glause as the breeder. Glause was also second overall in the derby aggregate earlier in the week, so numbers are still rolling in on her official earnings for the week.
