The 2026 Calgary Stampede is in full swing July 3–12 in Calgary, Alberta, bringing 30 of the world’s best barrel racers north of the border to chase a share of the $310,250 in added money.

Barrel racers are split into three pools—Pool A (July 3–5), Pool B (July 6–8) and Pool C (July 9–11). The top qualifiers from each pool advance to Championship Sunday, July 12, and the Showdown for a shot at the $50,000 first-place check. Every dollar won at the Calgary Stampede barrel racing counts toward the WPRA World Standings, so a big week here can reshape the world race.

Who Competes at the Calgary Stampede?

The Calgary Stampede invites thirty (30) barrel racers: the top four (4) from the 2025 CPRA final standings; the top fifteen (15) from the 2025 WPRA ProRodeo final standings (no drop-down); the top five (5) from the 2026 WPRA current-year standings as of April 1, 2026, not already qualified; the top two (2) from the 2026 WPRA Western Regional Event Qualifier and the top four (4) from the 2026 CS Ladies Barrel Racing Qualifier.
