Barrel Racers: Here’s the Step-by-Step Guide to Entering Patriot Fort Worth

Barrel racers entering The Patriot Fort Worth will do so through the Global Handicaps entry system, which may be unfamiliar to competitors who don’t rope.

Team ropers use this system regularly, but barrel racers can enter without purchasing a Global Handicaps membershipby simply creating a login.

Here’s the step-by-step process.

Step 1: Go to the Patriot Fort Worth event page

Start on the official event page:

Click the red “Enter Online” button.

Step 2: Access the Patriot entry portal

You will be redirected to the Patriot entry portal:

From here, competitors will either:

• Log in if they already have a Global Handicaps account
• Register with Global if they do not

Step 3: Create a free Global Handicaps login

If you do not have a Global Handicaps account:

Click:

“Register With Global To Access Patriot Event.”

You will be redirected to the Global Handicaps registration page.

Fill out the required information:

• Name
• Date of birth
• Address
• Email
• Phone number
• Primary discipline
• Create password

Then complete the captcha and submit the form.

Important:
You do not need to purchase a Global Handicaps membership to enter the Patriot.

Step 4: Log into the Patriot entry system

Once your Global account is created, return to:

Log in using your Global credentials.

Step 5: Navigate to Patriot Fort Worth entries

After logging in:

1. Click Members
2. Select Final Sign Up
3. Choose Patriot Fort Worth
4. Select Class, such as “Open 5D Barrel Race,“

Step 6: Enter your horse

Next, competitors will:

• Select how many entries they want
• Choose their section
• Enter horse information
• Select optional side pots (such as the security side pot)

Then click Next.

Step 7: Checkout

Finally:

• Review your entry
• Complete checkout
• Submit payment

Once checkout is completed, your Patriot Fort Worth entry is confirmed.

The Patriot entry system runs through Global Handicaps, which is widely used in team roping but new to many barrel racers.
