Why the Sire Pot Matters
The Solo Select purse is split in two. Every entry ropes for the Main Pot, which is 40% of the money. Offspring of Solo Select’s 21 enrolled stallions also rope for the Sire Pot, the other 60%, so those horses are running for 100% of the purse. The heading and heeling champions are each set to collect $100,000 if they’re Sire Pot eligible.
Any 4-year-old by any sire can enter, as long as the registered owner or the rider holds a paid-in-full 2026 breeding contract to an enrolled stallion. Only horses sired by those stallions, including Metallic Cattack, Metallics MVP, Once In A Blu Boon and Woody Be Tuff, rope for the whole pot.
Andy Holcomb and GW Miss N Blu Boon (Once In A Blu Boon x Miss N My Time) opened with 296.24 before a 279.89. The mare is third among the Sire Pot horses at 576.13, 8.20 points behind the current No. 15. Sy York and Big Money Move (Metallic Cattack x Popular Lady Figure) climbed from 284.66 to 290.06 for 574.72.
Tate Kirchenschlager has two Sire Pot horses. Harry Stylez (Metallic Cattack x Ima Ramblin Girl) is at 571.81, and Tuffest Cat (Woody Be Tuff x Lil Sally Cat) was 0 in Round 1 before a 296.39. Logan Allen and KLC Genuine MVP (Metallics MVP x Genuinely Peppy Star) are at 555.13, and Les D Oswald and Metallic Purrlz (Metallic Cattack x Gunz N Jewelz) came back from a Round 1 zero with 292.32.
Round 3 is progressive and runs Thursday, Oct. 1, so scores keep stacking. The top 15 on the three-round aggregate then advance to a clean-slate short round, where every horse starts at zero. Frenchmans Buddy and Driggers hold No. 15 at 584.33 through two rounds.
