Esther Morris secured the 2026 Cinch Ladies Heeling year-end title with 45 points—nearly 20 ahead of the No. 2 spot—turning her first season actually entering ropings into a championship run.
For the 53-year-old from Clinton, Louisiana, the title was the result of a year where everything seemed to fall into place at the right time.
“It’s hard to put into words… just very rewarding, especially knowing the journey that it took to get here,” Morris said.
Her momentum started early, highlighted by a win at the Tunica Super Qualifier, and carried through consistent finishes across the USTRC ropings. Even at her first U.S. Finals appearance—where she didn’t have any luck—Morris walked away with something more valuable.
“I still feel like a winner… just being there and seeing how far I’ve come,” she said.
With help from her horse Cruz and a strong support system at home, Morris leaned into a confidence she hadn’t felt before.
“When God decides to open the floodgates and bless you … he opens them in ways I never thought were possible,” she added.
Now, with momentum on her side, Morris isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
