Reined Cow Horse: SRCHA Pre-Futurity

Fort Worth, Texas | August 4–10 | Will Rogers Memorial Center

Clayton Edsall and RBS Anniesugardaddy (Carlee Miller) won the Open Futurity Championship with a composite 667, earning $21,167.71—one of the earliest reined cow horse futurity wins of the season. Edsall also tied for third aboard Thorsport’s Reyzd Tuff. Story.

Addisyn R. Grilli swept the Non Pro Futurity divisions aboard Ticket To The Top (Addisyn R. Grilli), winning the Non Pro, Intermediate Non Pro, Limited Non Pro and Level 1 Non Pro Futurity titles in the same run for a combined $4,070, including the TQHA Texas-bred incentive.

The richest week in Western performance horse sports opens tomorrow: five days building to three championship nights and $1.9 million-plus in combined purses.

• Wed — Reining: Non Pro Challenge, $125,000.
• Thu — Cutting Night: Cutting Horse Challenge, $250,000; Non Pro Cutting Challenge, $125,000.
• Fri — Cow Horse Night: Cow Horse Challenge, $250,000; new Breakaway Roping Showcase, $50,000; Cowboy Heritage Ranch Challenge, $30,000.
• Sat — Million Dollar Night: Race to the Slide, $70,000; the Million Dollar Competition, $1,000,000—$500,000 guaranteed to the champion.

66 riders and ropers across the four marquee events: 15 in the Cutting Horse Challenge, 15 in the Cow Horse Challenge, 20 in the Breakaway Roping Showcase, 16 in the Million Dollar Competition.
