Josh King and Metabra (Metallic Cat x Sweet Abra) left no doubt in the Level 3 Senior Cutting Finals at the 2026 AQHA World Championship Show. On Oct. 31 in Oklahoma City, the pair marked a 221 and drew first-place scores from all five judges, earning $10,138.80 for owner Stella Swanson of Midland, Texas. It was the 2017 bay roan mare’s second world title in the class, after her first win with King in 2024.

The victory also extended a strong AQHA World Show run for King, of Cisco, Texas, and Swanson. In 2024 King and Metabra won the L3 Senior Cutting with a 225 to take home $10,105.27. A year later, at the 2025 AQHA World Championship Show, King rode Swanson’s 2016 stallion Tin Man (Metallic Cat x Nurse Moss) to the Senior Cutting world title and $10,095.17. Metabra also finished third in the Level 3 Senior Cutting that year. Her 2026 win gives the pair a senior cutting world champion for the third year in a row.

Metabra was already riding a hot streak when she got to Oklahoma City. Earlier in the month, she and Hanna Luther won the $2,000 Limited Rider at the NCHA National Circuit Championships and earned $8,654.
