The Rundown February 9: The One With Fort Worth

Another week of The Rundown is back on The Money Barrel to catch barrel racers up on everything they missed across the industry over the weekend, plus see what’s ahead.

The updated WPRA World Standings reflect results from winter rodeos and circuit finals through early February. Gracen Harman leads the standings with $23,057.41 earned. Blake Molle and Jordan Driver follow in second and third. Taylor Carver sits 15th with $10,089.

Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo concluded after three weeks of tournament-style competition using a bracket format. Seven brackets of eight competitors ran twice, with four money paid per round and advancement through semifinals and a finals.

Kassie Mowry and Jarvis won the finals with a 16.04-second run, setting a new arena record and earning $20,000. Acey Pinkston placed second with a 16.19. Summer Kosel and Hailey Kinsel tied for third with matching 16.28-second runs.

Kassie Mowry led overall Fort Worth earnings with $25,500. Acey Pinkston earned $19,625, and Hailey Kinsel earned $15,000, and those numbers will factor into next week’s standings updates.

Rodeo Rapid City

Heather Crowley won Rodeo Rapid City with a 13.19-second run worth $5,145. Raelin Jurgens placed second with a 13.22 earning $4,116. Lindsey Muggli finished third with a 13.26 for $3,344, and Katie Rossow placed fourth with a 13.36 earning $2,572.

San Antonio Preview

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo begins February 12 and uses a bracket-style format. The system includes five brackets, two semifinals, one wild card, and a finals that runs through the end of February. Fifty competitors qualify through the format.

Futurities & Incentive Updates

Royal Crown opens its 2026 season in Buckeye, Arizona, next week. The Texarkana Showdown also takes place next weekend, featuring futurity, derby, and open classes.

Several incentive programs are active at events during this period, including Future Fortunes, Top Shelf Breeders, Pink Buckle, Ruby Buckle, and Young Guns League Double Down, each requiring separate entries.

The Gold Rush Incentive and Future Fortunes Mama’s Money side pot are also discussed as part of the current incentive landscape.

Sherry Cervi Youth Championships

The Sherry Cervi Youth Championships wrapped up in Buckeye, Arizona, with $6,000 added and saddles awarded on a two-run average in both age divisions.

In the Junior division, Lanai Garnhart and Fabs Famous Kat won the 1D average. Raely Bays and Tuff Dealin earned the 2D average championship for the second consecutive year.

In the Senior division, Jocelyn Fiske won the 1D average aboard Flits Robert E Lee, becoming a repeat champion after winning the event last year on a different horse.
