Another Big Winter for Driggers and Nogueira with 2026 San Angelo Win

Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira have made a habit of building momentum each winter, and 2026 has been no different with their recent San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo win.

The 2021 and 2022 PRCA world champions sit third in the 2026 PRCA team roping world standings with $58,185.19 won on the winter and early spring, marking their second-best winter yet. Their best? 2022. Driggers and Nogueira won their second consecutive team roping world titles following a record $85,196 winter.

Driggers and Nogueira rounded out their winter with the San Angelo win April 17, for $9,428 a man. They kicked things off with 5.2 in Round 1, followed by a 4.3 in Round 2 to tie for eighth and pick up $167 each. The top 80 advanced to the progressive round where Driggers and Nogueira turned in a 4.7 to give them the lead heading into the short round. As the last team out, they had just over five seconds to play with, and they capitalized. They won the short round with a 4.5-second run for $1,602 apiece, giving them the average title with an 18.7 on four head for $7,684 a man. For both Driggers and Nogueira, San Angelo checks one of few rodeos still left on their bucket lists.

The San Angelo victory is also the latest in a string of results that has defined their winter. They opened the winter by splitting the first round at the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo in Denver for $3,971 apiece. Their biggest hit of the season thus far followed shortly with a second-place finish at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo worth $22,017 a man. They added another $12,500 at RodeoHouston after sweeping their Super Series before finishing their San Angelo run.

Rather than relying on a single major win, Driggers and Nogueira have stacked checks across the winter run, keeping themselves near the top of the standings the entire time like years past. Though 2022 and 2026 take the top winter honors for Driggers and Nogueira, 2023 finished just behind this year at $53,529. In 2024, Driggers won $51,120, though Nogueira missed January and much of February following sinus surgery.

For Driggers, the fast start in 2026 comes on the heels of a record-setting 2025 season in which he became the first team roper to surpass $1 million in a single year across PRCA rodeos, invitationals, jackpots and futurities.

Now, with another strong winter behind them and momentum already built, Driggers and Nogueira once again find themselves in a position they’ve been in before—toward the top of the standings and right where they need to be heading into the summer run.
