Justin and Megan Janda founded 2J Equine in 2014 as a necessity. Their vision was to establish a breeding program that produced horses that were functional and made to last.

“We need horses with good feet and bone that have the athleticism and mindset to do what is needed on the ranch,” Megan said.

2J Equine currently consists of eight broodmares and two stallions: Stolin Whiskey, whom they raised, and Its Mr PYC To You, acquired in 2020.

The Jandas prioritize quality over quantity, recognizing that individual preferences vary.

“Fit and feel are different for everyone and I think what we’ve done well is getting the right fit and feel in capable hands.”

Highlights of their program include Copper, owned by Jake Long, competing in the 2025 NFR as well as Rita, owned by Kingpin Genetics, and Mozzie, owned by Dustin Davis.

The Jandas truly cherish the friendships they’ve developed within the horse industry, and their goal is to be known for quality horses and for embodying the values of hard work and integrity.

“First and foremost, we give the glory to God for all of this,” Megan said. “He’s blessed us with these horses and the talents and abilities to do what we love.”
